DOD/Joint Experience
15+ years of Pentagon experience in 3 Joint Staff tours. Director of J8, working as the Chairman of the Joint Staff's lead for $800+B annual budget and Secretary for Joint Requirements Oversight Council.
Navy Leader
Served as Director of Surface Warfare--Responsible for all Navy Surface Ships, Weapons, Personnel, Sensors, Systems, and Operations and Maintenance Requirments, as well as numerous program and budget positions.
Command At Sea
Commanded and Deployed our Nation's most lethal and capable systems and personnel--an Aircraft Carrier Strike Group (USS John C Stennis Strike Group), an Aegis Cruiser (USS LAKE ERIE) and an Aegis Destroyer (USS CARNEY) and served in 7 seagoing commands.
